     Helicopter Pilot Casualties 
These are pilot totals only and do not include door gunners, crew chiefs or passengers.  For every helicopter that was shot down, or crashed, there were at lest two more crew members that were exposed to the same dangers that killed the pilots.

 The US Army had the bulk of the helicopter war and the number of KIA and MIA show how much they gave to this effort.
