whole attention seemed to be drawn into the photo."

"All of a sudden , I was no longer lying on the bed, but my body was. It was as if the real me had been vacuumed right out of my body and my spirit had no weight. I was part of a family of color and light and of music and sound."

Additionally, the book which consists of about 100 stories, has poetry in McDonald's own writing that is sprinkled throughout its pages.

McDonald heeds his readers not to follow him as a leader and to understand that he does not always interpret his experiences accurately and that his visions of the future are not etched in stone, because he believes that things are not destined to be a certain way and that the future can be changed.

"All I ask is that people read my book with an open mind about they have read," McDonald said. "If somehow they end up not believing my experiences, I hope that they will at least be entertained by what I have written."
