 RICHARD C. ANGLIN – MAJ

Serving with 173rd Assault Helicopter Company/1st US Division as an executive Officer: Highly combat experienced officer during operation BILLINGS commencing on 1 July and ending on 15 August 1967 at Binh Long.  Maj Anglin disregarded dangers while directing numerous helicopter flight missions in resupplying of ammunition, weapons, foodstuffs, also strafing at the enemy locations which caused the VC sustained heavy casualties on  personnel and weapons.

ROBERT D. BOWLES – MAJ

Serving with 173rd AHC/1st US Division as a platoon commander: an outstanding officer.  During operation BILLINGS commencing on 1 July and ending on 15 September 1967 at Binh Long, despite the murderous situation.  Maj BOWLES calmly commanded the helicopter company to fly forward within the range of the enemy fire power.  Strafing accurately at the enemy position to effectively support the RVN unit which was suppressed by the enemy.

CHARLES E. ANDERSON – CPT

Serving with 173rd AHC/1st U.S. Div, as a platoon commander:  A highly dedicated officer.  During operation BILLINGS commencing on 1 July ending on 15 Sep 1967 at Binh Long.  Captain Anderson was outstanding in the expeditious transportation of troops to the front line for supporting the friendly force, at the same time evacuating the wounded to safety zone.

LYMAN C. CULVER – CPT

Serving with 173rd AHC/1st Div. As a platoon commander: Highly combat experienced.  During operation BILLINGS commencing on 1 July ending on 15 Sep 67 at Binh Long.  Although facing the enemy’s intense anti-aircraft fire power, CPT CULVER still along with the helicopter company, calmly maintained the rate of supplies of ammunition, foodstuffs to be expeditious: thus assisting the participating force to be having enough facilities in counterattacking, inflicting heavy casualties upon the enemy.

Pilot officer:  Highly combat experienced officer serving with the 173rd AHC/1st US Div.  WO BROWN was supported effectively the friendly forces in the expeditious transportation of troops and evacuating the wounded to safety zone.

WILLIAM E. BUNTON – WO

Pilot officer, who is zealous in many dangerous flight missions: serving with the 173rd AHC/1st US Div.  During operation BILLINGS commencing  1 July – 15 August 67 at Binh Long, WO BUNTON courageously and calmly maneuvered the helicopter  to support effectively the friendly unit and strafing at the VC concentrated forces, which caused the VC sustained heavy casualties on personnel and weapons.

KEVIN C. DOLL – WO

Pilot officer, who is zealous in many dangerous flight missions: serving with the 173rd AHC/1st US Div.  During operation BILLINGS commencing 1 July – 15 August 67, WO DOLL courageously and calmly maneuvered the helicopter to support effectively the friendly unit and strafing at the VC concentrated forces, which caused the VC sustained heavy casualties on personnel and weapons.

MICHAEL W. FOSTER – WO

Pilot officer, highly combat experienced officer.  Serving with the 173rd AHC/1st US Div.  During operation BILLINGS commencing 1 July – 15 August 1967 at Binh Long.  WO FOSTER distinguished himself while conducting the helicopter to fly over the enemy fire power.  Reconnoiter and supported to friendly unit, also supplies of ammunition, foodstuffs: thus assisting the participating force to be having enough facilities in counterattacking inflicting heavy casualties upon the enemy.

RICHARD A. HAMILTON – WO

Pilot officer, an intrepid officer, greatly active in the assigned mission.  Serving with 173rd AHC/1st US Div.  During operation BILLINGS commencing 1 July – 15 August 67 at Binh Long, WO HAMILTON courageously maneuvered the aircraft support, resupply and evacuating of the wounded to be expeditious.

WILLIAM C. MURPHY – WO

Pilot officer and highly combat experienced.  Serving with 173rd AHC/1st US Div.  During operation BILLINGS commencing 1 July – 15 August 67 at Binh Long, WO MURPHY was outstanding in the use of rockets to strafing accurately at the enemy positions to effectively support the friendly unit which was suppressed by enemy.  Caused the VC to sustain heavy casualties on personnel and weapons.

JAMES R. PUTEK – WO

Serving with 173rd AHC/1st US Div as a pilot:  An elite and courageous officer.  During operation BILLINGS commencing 1 July – 15 August 67 at Binh Long, WO PUTEK disregarded dangers, distinguished himself while conducting the aircraft to fly cross over the enemy fire power:  he calmly landed his helicopter at the battle line in an effort to resupply and evacuating of the wounded to safety zone.  Contributing worthily to the victory of friendly units.
