Sometimes, I come across people in my life, by accident
(if there is really such a concept under heaven). Recently, I ran into
Debbe Reynolds, when she replied to an email poem that my old friend "Snake"
had sent out to a list of friends. I saw her web sites listed on the
bottom of her message and decided to check them out. It proved that life's
accidents are no more than God's way of directing us to those we need at
various times in our lives.
I have been searching for women to expand on what Lee
Ward and others have begun - helping the wives of combat
veterans. She has been building a small but spiritual group of wives in
the healing process. So I have invited her and her team of women to join
our support network. Her links will be added to the resources available on
this web site and I hope many of you explore what she has to offer.
Her web site is at: http://usmcwife.hypermart.net

The Poet's Voice...
DREAMS OF NAM
V
ividly in color, they appear almost
every night
Leaving me momentarily devastated in fright
Reaching for my weapon, quickly I awake
To a room full of stillness and gently I shake
My bedroom light verifies there's no one but me
Only in my dreams lie these terrors I see
That war in Nam has long since gone
I am finally in America and safely at home
These are only dreams from yester-year
There is no danger; I should have no fear.
God, help me make it through another night
Please, illuminate my soul with your light
For in the darkness of my mind and soul
Lies a beast that I can barely control
God be my "Point Man" and show me the way
Guide my steps safely and leave Nam far away
Written by Loyde P. "Snake" Arender on 9 July 2001 and
dedicated to all
veterans who vividly remember the horrible memories of war and who in
some degree might suffer from PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder).

SPECIAL THANKS TO
THOSE ROBIN HOODS AND TOMAHAWKS WHO HAVE COME FORWARD TO HELP FUND THESE
WEB PAGES
On the bottom of the Robin Hood and
Tomahawk main pages, there is a short list of names of those people who
have helped support this web site and the services we are offering to
veterans. Without that assistance, this web site would have long ceased to
function. We thank you on behalf of all those veterans who visit these
honored pages.
Recent changes in the web server and
changing over to DSL, have delayed the posting of new web pages and
newsletters until this week. I hope that we can catch up soon and post all
that has been promised. As we grow and expands, it is our desire that this
web site will become YOUR web site.
Thanks for your support. Bill McDonald
