VIETNAM
FRIENDSHIP VILLAGE PROJECT
Website: http://ww.vietnamfrienship.org
MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Vietnam Friendship Village Project
is to cultivate reconciliation and heal the wounds of the Vietnam War by
uniting veterans and caring citizens through international cooperation in
the building and support of the Village of Friendship, a living symbol of
peace."
"The veterans who have participated in seeing
the true horrors of war have a particularly credible voice in speaking out
against war. I think it is important also for veterans not just to
demonstrate and speak out against war, but to set examples of the kind of
things that we can do. And the Village of Friendship Project is one
historic example. There are veterans and caring citizens from six
countries at this point, who were all former enemies, now working
together."
--George Mizo, US Vietnam War Veteran (1945-2002
Message from Bill
If there was ever a good cause that
needed your help and your donations - I strongly recommend that you check
out the website for this organization. It was founded by Vietnam veteran
George Mizo, who passed away on March 18th of this year. He may be gone
but all his projects and dreams live on in Vietnam. Please go visit their
website and check out all the good works that this group of men and women
are doing for peace and goodwill in the world today.

"The Friendship Village is a citizen's initiative begun by
veterans, who have experienced first-hand the pain of war. They are
being joined by people from many walks of life to make the Friendship
Village a reality and a model for international cooperation. Please join
us in this worthwhile project."
