When he returned from Vietnam he married the former Francisca Acosta of Crystal City Texas. While in Korea in the spring of 1973 he suffered a serious aircraft accident that put him in the hospital for a year. Medically retired from the Army, he went to Seminary at Bangor Theological Seminary in Bangor Maine where he received a Master of Divinity Degree. An ordained minister of the United Church of Christ, he has served parishes in both Maine and Nebraska. Currently, he resides in Lexington Nebraska with his wife Francisca Acosta-Carlson who is a Family Practice Doctor, his son, one cat, three dogs, and numerous fish. Occasionally filling in at local pulpits, he divides his time between being a benignly baffled and bewildered house-husband and an aspiring novelist. Red Bird Down" is his first novel and is loosely based upon his Vietnam experience. To find out more about his book or buy it - click on this
